SeaWorld Orlando, Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando blends elements of a theme park and marine life zoo. The vast complex also includes a 7 hectare (17 acre) lagoon and a tropical forest. See the famous killer whales in an arena show, or get a dose of adrenaline with a ride on an upside-down (floorless) roller coaster. To combine the best of both worlds, visit the oceanic water-coaster, featuring an 18 m (60 ft) vertical drop. You can also take part in the interactive deep dives, allowing you to have a safe, hands-off contact with sharks, stingrays, and sea lions. For something a bit more relaxing, enjoy one of many live shows, featuring choreographed performances with lights, music, dolphins, and costumed acrobats. • This place is awesome. From the staff, to the park itself, to the training and care for the animals this place is first class. How do you get something 10 times your size to perform tricks??? By atten...  more »

  • Awesome place to take the family. I have young kids (6 and 4 years old) and it is way better than Disney in my opinion. The price is so much cheaper (especially for an annual pass). They have an amazing, three story kids playground that is unbelievable. It's a maze of nets, tubes, and slides. There's also a splash park that for the kids. That single area will guarantee your kids will expend all of their energy and crash. The animal encounters are amazing. The boys love all of it. For the adults, you can't beat their roller-coasters. Disney can't compare in this category. There are definitely more dining choices at Disney though, so do your homework before you go so you know where you want to eat. Excellent overall experience especially for families with young children.
  • The shows are great, especially the sea lions and the dolphins. There's a lot of fun to be had for all ages. Feeding the animals is amazing as well. The sharks are a bit boring to feed, but the sea lions are pretty funny to feed and some of them will even wave at you to entice you into throwing food at them rather than at the others. The sting rays are also very cool to feed, especially when you hold the food down in the water as indicated. They will swoop in, swim over your hand and slurp the food out of it. Prices for food are very reasonable, especially if you get the all-day eating pass. Portions are okay and the food is good. Prices for goods and souvenirs are sometimes a bit expensive, but mostly very reasonable.
  • Sea World is a great change of pace from other theme parks in Orlando. It's not mobbed. We went a couple days before Christmas when you wouldn't have been able to move at Disney and there were almost no waits for the rides. It's very little-kid friendly. There is a whole area of small rides for little kids behind Shamu stadium. Kids love the animal shows (Black Fish aside, they really are amazing shows). The roller coasters are awesome. Even the food was pretty good. Best part, military families are entirely free.
  • My family has loved this place for 2 years, since we have been season pass holders. The shows are great, and the roller coasters are LOTS of fun! And my 5 year old has loved the kiddie area... Happy Harbor... since the first time we took him when he was 3. Great fun for the whole family! I also want to say they take great care if the injured animals they save, who would have otherwise perished if left in the wild, and cannot care for themselves due to injury. Make sure to see the Pets Ahoy show!
  • Wonderful park. Our family has been here twice and we love it. Not as busy as the other parks in town. The coasters are great and the shows are spectacular. We did the all day dining and it was worth it since we were spending all day here. The food was delicious. Plenty of things to do for toddlers as well as teens and adults.
