An hour's drive from Halifax's international airport, Luneburg boasts both colorful buildings and a colorful history, as well as status as a World Heritage Site.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and Luckett Vineyards. Your inner history buff will appreciate Grand-Pré National Historic Site and St. John's Anglican Church. Step out of Lunenburg with an excursion to Swissair Flight 111 Memorial in Peggy's Cove--about 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, take in the exciting artwork at Laurie Swim Gallery, look for gifts at The Lunenburg Makery, and look for all kinds of wild species at The Ovens Natural Park.

Kelowna to Lunenburg is an approximately 12-hour combination of flight and taxi. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus, train, and taxi. The time zone difference when traveling from Kelowna to Lunenburg is 4 hours. Traveling from Kelowna in July, expect nights in Lunenburg to be somewhat warmer, around 18°C, while days are little chillier, around 24°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Wed) so you can drive to Halifax.

Halifax
The largest city on Canada's eastern coastline, Halifax boast a rich maritime history and occupies a strategically important location with one of the world's greatest natural harbors.
Get some historical perspective at Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and Historic Properties. Escape the urban bustle at Clam Harbour Beach and Lawrencetown Beach. There's much more to do: learn about all things military at Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, take in nature's colorful creations at Halifax Public Gardens, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Paul's Anglican Church, and take in the waterfront at Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk.

Traveling by car from Lunenburg to Halifax takes 1.5 hours. In July, plan for daily highs up to 26°C, and evening lows to 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
