Packwood is an unincorporated community located in easternmost Lewis County, Washington.Packwood is located at the intersection of US Highway 12 and Gifford Pinchot National Forest Road 52 (Skate Creek Road). Visiting Skyline Trail and Northwest Trek Wildlife Park will get you outdoors. Change things up with these side-trips from Packwood: Mount Rainier National Park (Trail of the Shadows, Mount Rainier, & more), Paradise Valley (in Paradise) and Johnston Ridge Observatory (in Toutle). There's still lots to do: contemplate the geological forces at Mount St. Helens and hike along High Rock Trail.
