  • A truly wonderful facility that offers spectacular architecture, a beautiful view of St. John's and the harbour. We visited the art gallery, archives, restaurant and the museum. Everybody was so very friendly, helpful informative from the security officer's at the front to the front desk staff. We met a gentleman who worked in archives and he offered several great travel tips, history of St. John's and told us where the best fish and chips were.
  • Easy to find. Reasonably priced. Well displayed exhibits. Wonderful Staff great food. Touched an ice berg....learned some Newfoundland slang.
  • Facinating Information. Spectacular view. Delicious fare. Friendly staff
  • Fantastic facility that includes the provincial archives, art gallery, and history museum. It provides an unvarnished history of Indigenous mistreatment throughout 'settler' history seldom found in other historical accounts.
  • Food was excellent and service was perfect. Great experience. Thanks

To appreciate the history and colorful architecture of North America's oldest colonial city, there's no better place to stay than in the city center. This popular neighborhood displays the city's iconic, brightly painted Victorian houses, with a selection of guesthouses and inns clustered around Government House.
