  • Beautiful park. Feels like your ouside of the city. They have some great trails. Great place to keep the kids busy in the summer
  • A beautiful, quiet and safe place to bring your family for a walk anytime or snow fun in winter. A safe haven for waterfowl. Well tended gardens and memorials to explore. Outdoor amphitheatre and kids water park.
  • A beautiful park in town. Trails lead around a skatepark, a playground and the water. Great place to enjoy the few sunny days we see on the rock!
  • A lovely, bustling city park. Tons of birds, water features, history, scenery, and greenery. My favourite place in St John's!
  • Bowring Park kind of seems like a magical garden anf there is a lot of things to do and see here like the historical statues and fairy door tours.

Where to stay in St. John's

To appreciate the history and colorful architecture of North America's oldest colonial city, there's no better place to stay than in the city center. This popular neighborhood displays the city's iconic, brightly painted Victorian houses, with a selection of guesthouses and inns clustered around Government House. Staying just west of the city center, near the Memorial University of Newfoundland, works as a pleasant alternative, with the expansive Pippy Park right at your doorstep.
