Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls

A meal with a view awaits at Skylon Tower, featuring an observation deck and a revolving restaurant overlooking Niagara Falls. Located on the Canadian side of the falls, the 160 m (520 ft) tower features three external elevators that can whisk you to the top in just under a minute. The views from the outdoor and indoor decks alone merit a visit, though most tourists also choose to round-off their experience with a hearty meal at the onsite restaurant. The base of the tower contains several gift shops and an amusement arcade, making this attraction a good shopping/entertainment spot for families with kids. The ride up the elevator was quick and the view was fantastic! You can see both US and Canadian Falls from the top.  more »

I loved the view from this tower. It was included in our tour, but I would still recommend it. Good souvenirs shops too. And a Starbucks!!! Ha!  more »

The tower has an observation deck with an inside and outside view. The outside has very sturdy metal walls for safety. There are signs around the deck to label what you can see from that view. You rid...  more »

The food at the summit buffet is just like that of any other buffet, only the view makes it special (and very pricey, $30 per person plus other fees & tips) but only if your lucky to sit at the window seats. I wasn't, and I had to wait 15 min because they lost my reservation. Dessert was pretty good; I mostly ate that. Elevator ride gives you a good view of the falls. The observatory has a wired fence so you can stick your camera out and get higher. Before you go on the elevator you take a few pictures which you can buy for ~$30.

We had an excellent all around experience. The food was excellent prepared exactly as requested. The entertainment was very good as well. We observed a tight rope walker the first time we went there, very exciting. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting an overall excellent time. We were married at Niagara Falls and ate there our wedding night. We continue to go back to the Skylon Tower every year to celebrate. Five stars for a five star place.

This place is just a huge tourist trap. They try absolutely everything to get you to pay them more. A huge arcade in the front and shops chock full of the same Canada gear you see in other places in the country. The place is outdated and the only thing worth going here for is the view. The restaurant is funny because they pretend to be fancy. They take pictures of you and try to make them pay you for it. They have even more gift shops at the top and only run one elevator down to build up the line and make you want to buy more things from it. If you like tourist traps go ahead and visit but keep in mind that the view is the only thing worth going here for.

Came for dinner with friends at 9:00 pm and everything was wonderful. The food was very good, many sea food options like crab, shrimp and fish. We were there just on time for the fireworks at 10:00 pm and the view was amazing. After the dinner we stepped out to the observation deck and enjoying the 360 view of Niagara Falls at night time. Service was on point as well.

Didn't eat at the restaurants here but did the ride to the top. They take some photos of your family or group before you head up and you have the option to purchase them on your way out - nice to be able to have a photo with everyone in your group. The views from the observation deck, whether you stay inside or venture outside at the top are spectacular! Best views of the Falls are from up here for sure!

Where to stay in Niagara Falls

The city bordering Canada's most famous attraction offers a wide range of accommodations, with competition keeping prices surprisingly low. You'll pay a premium for views of the falls, with most of the prime real estate right by the star attraction controlled by major international hotel chains. Most sit along Niagara Parkway, which fronts the river. If you're looking for something nearby but still affordable, check the options along Victoria Avenue--you won't have a view of the falls, but you'll be just minutes from the spectacular attraction.
